About Us
The Equity Trust Fund was founded in 1989 to help present and
past members of Equity as well as other adult professional performers
and their dependants. We can provide welfare grants to those who
are unable to work because of poor health, an accident or due to
old age. We also have a trained welfare rights advisor and a qualified
debt advisor to provide assistance. We are also able to provide
education grants to those who have decided to retrain.
John Fernald Award
This charity was set up in 1988 from the estate of the late John Fernald
to assist new assistant theatre directors with limited experience
to gain additional experience in a professional theatre.
